My infatuation with the color white derives from my earliest memories as a young girl in Spain, mesmerized by ivory brides amongst the European architecture.
My relationship with white continued when I bought my first piece of furniture with babysitting wages, a white provincial canopy bed waiting for me at an estate sale. This color which became a symbol of simple comfort and peace to the family my husband and I raised, also carried a fantasy. I had always dreamed of living on a lake with graceful swans.
Now , I live in Illinois with such fairy tale creatures as neighbors on a small lake. White Swan Market joining Canal Cargo soon opening in La Salle, Illinois offers a pale palette with woods and natural elements. I hope to share my eclectic history through my business piece by piece.
