I made a comment, friended you on Facebook and subscribed to your site. I absolutely love your style and the crafts that you make. Your home and store are incredibly charming. I wish I lived closer because I KNOW we would be fast friends! I am a decorative painter and crafter. I feel I came across your page and story for a reason. I want to do what you are doing but I am trapped in a very small town, I have had some major life struggles the past two years and I just don’t know how to get started. You are on the right track. I know it is easier said than done to continue to bang your head against the wall but I feel you need to just keep trying. There are so many greats in this world that had to continue to persevere with rejection after rejection. I lost my job (translate “was fired”) in June this year. I didn’t have a backup plan nor any savings. What I did have was an enormous shop on my 2 acres in SW Idaho small town, loads of found objects and a sturdy creative bone. But I fell into fear and depression. I’ve been seeking inspiration and motivation online through folks who have come before me and made it as a creative soul. I don’t fit into a box let alone a cubical. I needed your words today and I am working on doing my second Christmas show. I will work hard and not give up until I find my niche. thanks for sharing from your heart.
