I was hoping that you would get Design Star too! After I finished reading your blog tonight and what your plans are for the future, I’m going to say not getting Design Star may be a blessing in disguise. I don’t really watch HGTV anymore, most of their programming doesn’t interest me. The competition shows are melodramatic and the contestants (I feel) are fueled to be rude to one another (drama=ratings). I subscribed to your channel because of your personality & charm (I can tell your a really sweet person with a heart of gold). Keep building your Youtube channel making it bigger and better. God does have different plans and paths for us and I think you are finding you own stardom without HGTV.

I bet you have some very interesting stories to tell about DS. things are never as they seem but I’m a diehard optimist. Here’s to hoping with you that season 8 is all about good design. one thing is for sure, i’ll be looking forward to your reviews.

I read both blog posts and felt fear and anxiety and excitement and I was so nervous for you…and then I felt so disappointed…but then the You Tube announcement was brilliant! I do believe that God allows things to happen in ways that open doors. Had you ended up on the show….you might never have taken this path….who knows….we might be watching DDIY TV …DebiDIY TV!!! 2013 will open new doors….don’t you just feel it?
